Purcell’s King Arthur

On Thursday 7 May at 8.30pm in the Great Hall there is a special performance of Purcell’s opera King Arthur. (‘Dunelm Consort and Players present a lively celebration of Arthurian legend and pagan folklore in Henry Purcell’s opera, as the Saxons and the Britons battle for honour, glory, and the chance to secure a place in history.’)
Directed by Castle undergraduate and Chapel Choir Director of Music Barney Howard, with numerous other Castle students in the choir and orchestra, and Castle alumnus and SCR member Michael Hampel serving as Narrator.
